He did his MS ophthalmology from PGIMER, Chandigarh, one of the most reputed institutes of the country. He further did extensive training in vitreo-retina and uveities at Advanced Eye Centre, PGIMER Chandigarh. He had been a head of department in vitreo-retina and uveities at Venu Eye Institute and Research Centre. He is one of the pioneers of anti-VEGF therapy in India.
